A celebrated musician walks into a bar and notices the piano in the corner. He enquires of the barman whether perchance, as he is a celebrated musician, he could entertain the locals with a tune or two. The barman, recognising the celebrated musician, sadly admits that the lid is locked and the key has long since been lost. "No problem" replies the celebrated musician "Do you have a Banjo by any chance?" "Why?" chirps the barman excitedly "Do you play that as well?" "No" replies the celebrated musician "But we could use it to smash the lock on the piano!" Erm, sorry, I'll get me coat......
I've just started to learn playing guitar...so when we're camped up I can pluck a soft tune or two... Fingers do hurt don't they! 5-10mins at a time is all I can do at the moment. Enjoying it though.
But you say the milk carton is for sale? Is it in good condition? How much are you looking for? I could be interested....
Four strings is good, six if you absolutely must As it happens, I shall be re-stringulating this fellow this evening...
Seeing as I have just re strung my old acoustic with classical strings, I will make it my mission to learn a basic classical tune this evening.
The only harmonica holder is your hands - it just sounds wrong otherwise - even when Bob Dylan is playing
Will you be going for some full on Ritchie Blackmore riffage? I'm sure if I squeeze myself into some velvet loons I can maybe manage a few of the high notes on Child In Time
I thought Richie only played the Moldavian lute these days... My poor old Strat...I don't pay him enough attention. He just wants to sing to me . Found at our local auction years ago lying neglected under a great pile of junk. Nobody seemed very interested on auction day, so I got a US-built Strat for a couple of hundred quid
I bought my son a 1983 Strat (de luxe) made in USA for his 16th birthday - cost £400 from Hessy's in Liverpool - that was 24 years ago - he was talking about selling it recently but I won't let him unless I get first dibs at the original price!
I'd insist on first dibs! Remind him who paid for it in the first place . My one (from the serial number) is mid-to-late 90s, finished in attractive Glam-Rock Silver (or "Inca", as I believe Fender called it).
