All this talk of running's getting me out of breath and you don't need a camper van for that. So I thought how about a TLB walking club. I was going to say Hill walking as that's what I like best, but coast paths, river walks, it's all good. This is just a feeler thread for now as I haven't given thought to a good first venue. I see a typical weekend like this: Arrive Friday afternoon/evening for drinkies and a fire. Saturday walk 10 miles+ and evening meal in a pub. Sunday mahoosive fry-up and drift off home. Whaddya think? Anyone interested? Feel free to suggest a venue/walk/date. I'm up for anything unless it's too far away.
Yes - are you going to organise the places we go or would you be open to suggestions ? i have a feeling it will peter out if the locations aren't varied countrywide .
It's TLB - anything goes. Just gauging interest for now. If everyone who's interested is in Cornwall or Scotland, I won't be going anyway. lol
A few of us are going up a couple of days before Springcamp and gonna do Helvellyn via Striding edge, maybe a few more peaks, I go walking quite a bit and the Woody you see wrecked at shows is just to keep my image up, I hate having to do it
Hey Zed & Dog, we're walking the coast path from Hunstanton to Cromer in June. Any recommendations regarding van friendly campsites and places to visit?
There's a great site at Stiffkey. There's also a camper/teepee site somewhere - Brancaster? Dog will know. It's a good one for walking/camping as the coast hopper bus service will take you to wherever you like and walk back or vica versa. Some of the drivers are really funny - in a good way.
Is be up for this.... Not done much walking but its something Paul really wants to get in to as he used to go with his dad as a kid x I love forests as mentioned before so if anyone knows of any good ones to explore I'm there xxx
this is the reason we bought the van , but we usually set off saturday afternoon 1to2hr drive no more, pub meal e few pints then a 7-10 mile walk sunday morning , then back home at a reasonable time. We both work saturdays and find 1 night to be plenty of time to get a nice walk, a night in a pub and not too late home.
