They're hard plastic resin - I doubt even my ferocious digestive juices could burn through that. The leads are folded over, so nothing sticking out. I'll give it a rinse and stick it on eBay...
Can I just take this opportunity to apologise for the crude and vulgar reply I made some moments earlier. I knowingly avoided the site swear filter which is there for my good and for the good of all of us. This is a family site and if folk like me go around playing fast and loose, there is no telling where it will all end and furthermore... Plus eleventy on the seeking advice thing, kids who swallow hearing aid batteries connect the circuit in they gut and all sorts of horrible internal bleeding results, like I said earlier I don't want to worry you unduly but if you survive the weekend etc.
