The President of the United States

  1. I think you are being extremely generous there in respect of individuals intellects and understating how effective playing to baser instincts and prejudices can be. Particularly if youve been feeding those prejudices. In the UK weve been fed the worst of the EU for years from straight bananas to ... well gawd knows. The EU havent helped themselves and the influx of foreign labour tipped it for many! So a poulation, some of whom had good reasons and sound judgement decided on balance they would rather leave. Another group, ie those who were regularly vox-popped in town centres across the country during the day by enlarge, from my observation, often cited immigration as an issue.

And what about all those lies, well itvtranspires that some of them were, some werent. Project fear v project absolutecock. I think those who engaged knew what they were voting for. Some just picked their favourite prejudice and voted for that

The american election was possibly a whole different animal. More about dissing your opponent. Dont think Donald is doing anything other than what he promised so far. If the electorate didnt listen then thats their fault.

  8. My statement was that Project Fear tried to gag the press, that appears borne out from the BBC website.

A spokesman for Mr Cameron said: "It is a matter of public record that he made the case that it was wrong for newspapers to argue that we give up our membership of the EU. He made this argument privately to the editor of the Daily Mail, Paul Dacre, and its proprietor, Lord Rothermere."

So to me it looks like he tried to gag the press.

Whether he actually asked his chum for the editors head on a plate remains to be confirmed.

    And Cameron wasn't anti Europe?

His conduct in the dealings to get the UK a new deal and the way he went about it was poorly done and transparent. He went in hard and came out 'seemingly' flabbergasted that The EU wouldn't dance to the British tune. We have a superb record in diplomacy and could easily sway Europe normally. Orchestrated was the word in my mind at the time. His commitment to the EU flew in the face of Conservative views and behind the scenes policies. How many times have we been fed rubbish like you just linked as a argument and how many times will people keep swallowing it?

  11. The EU is a failed project, time to get over it and embrace the new world.

As for Cameron like all the luvies he was doing what was best for himself.

Anyway this is a thread about Donald not Theresa
