    Idiots? How so?

  2. Trump is hardly Hitler. He's many things but comparing him to Hitler is idiotic.

there was/is an item going round that the so called "middle ruling class" who used to fight for the rights of the poor working class and of course try to control them in the guise of " whats good/not good for you " having been rejected by the working class who on the whole are quite content with their lot are now taking to the streets to take up the popular cause irrespective whether they now or care about the cause

and donald as i say is just a buffoon businessman who opens his mouth before engaging his brain " will we tax mexican imports 20% so that they will pay for the wall " tuesday_wildchild

He may not compare to Hitler but all dictators have to start somewhere. Blaming your countries problems on non Americans, attacking the free press, ruling by diktat..... hmm m

  6. Let me start this by saying I am not a fan of Trump, I think he is a complete buffoon and I detest his views and what he is promoting. I am also staggered that someone who is clearly such a bad communicator can run a business let alone a country..... that said .... how many times do we moan about politicians who get your vote on promises and commitments and once they get elected run a million miles from what they said? I only have to think back to Ian Duncan Smith last year when he backtracked on the money that we would be able to invest in the NHS if we left the EU.

So whether you like what Trump is doing or not, (and I don't like it) at least he is trying to push through on the promises he made the last year. That at least makes a change.

  8. Are you suggesting ch4 news reels are made of "altetnative facts," ;-)

  9. I don't wish to denigrate or patronise but some people on here just argue for the sake of it. They cant see that others have a reasoned view and wish to discuss that. They will just wind you up and when you become impassioned by the argument they will simply say..its a VW site, your not going to change the world here are you. Its good to debate or discuss by whatever means but im afraid some people will emphasise their right to say what they want to but will take no notice of what you write.

Hitler was voted into power, there was no actual revolution. It was the will of the people. (its more complex than that but that's the gist) I'm unsure why anyone would not see the similarities and call anyone an idiot for stating something that's obvious.

Read the Bill of Rights, in fact read all the amendments and then ask yourself whether this is what he stands for. He is un-American and anti the Constitution. He will destroy the freedoms of America whilst purporting to be its saviour. Lets hope they still have the freedom to kick him out come the time!

Guess most of us have seen this no end of times but it still bears truth:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

No you don't....they are counted as non votes, hence my point

As for who runs the country if there is an interim, the incumbent party. Simple.

in a way trump is right the media there does pump out a load of carp out trouble a lot of his country men believe it

  16. I think the problem is that no one knows who to believe in and what the truth actually is.
Spin, alternative facts, corruption, lies, negative campaigns by politicians, 'news' media and hysteria on such things as Facebook means that no one really knows what is going on or in fact who to vote for either in the UK or the US.
Whether it's Brexit or Trump, it was all guess work. I like to think that I'm of average intelligence and relatively up to date on current affairs but obviously not when it came to voting. There must be some valid reason why Brexit and Trump were voted for and there must be some reason Clayton wasn't voted in. I don't believe that over half the voting populations who 'won' as racist, sexist, poorly educated bigots as portrayed by the losing 'liberal' minded protestors.
In a democracy there has to be a winner and a loser but now all the losers can protest on FB to which is spun and hyped up by the media and 'doctors' so things all appear apocalyptic.
About time to regain the stiff upper lip, grow as set and move on I think.
