  4. but they have capped the housing benefit allowance for rent to . . . . . wait for it £400 a . . . . . . WEEK!

    i'd love £1600 a month for a mortgage.

a couple of families in westminster were geting their rent paid by the council and are up in arms because they are making them downgrade their house because westminster council will no longer pay the £2,000 a week rent !

no wonder the country is fubar

  5. How do they prove to the cinema they are unemployed? Im sure just not being at work in the day dont count :D

  10. I shouldent reply to this thread as im unemployed i should be far too busy searching the job ads

Ive worked since i left school and at one time i had three jobs outside my main forces career
Im out of work due to illness and my only income is a small war pension
Ive a 12 year old and a three year old and a wife to look after

I spend everyday of my life feeling like ive failed because im not able to be the man i should be

Dont be so quick to judge people

  15. my place is looking for telesales staff not evetyones cup of tea but at least its a stable job
    19k p.a. plus commission. ote 35-40k
not a bad salary, nice place to work, not a telesales battery farm
despite this we struggle to get people who want to work
unbelievable excuses for being late/off sick/leaving early
if you live within driving distance of south Manchester and fancy a crack at a telesales job then pm me and I'll give you some more details.

  16. There is a lot of dossers out there

I suppose its the few bad that ruin it for those that need it when it comes to outside help

I feel a fraud on the forum because ive so much experiance with outdoor activitys but i struggle with the basic tasks now

All i was trying to say is that all that claim aint dossers some people really need that help to provide the basics to do better

  18. My son has finished college but has managed to get some work sorting parcels with royal mail. he only does 8 hours a week but when he went to the jobcentre for the first time this week they told him that he HAD to attend to sign on at 4pm Friday afternoon even though he had 4 hours work at that time. By not attending, they told him he wouldnt get the balance of whet he could claim but by attending he doesnt get paid but can claim more by way of benefits. He told them to poke it as he would rather work for £40 a week than scrounge for £60 - he's 18, good boy.

  20. No - I'm sure he won't.

Just to make your blood boil - have a read of this from during the week.

Basically if this families benefits were capped they'd be worse off by £80 and they claim "its heating or eating" - note the Sky TV subscription, fridays nights in the pub, fags, booze and mobiles....ggrrrrrrr!!!!!! The comments below the articel are a good read as well.
