    I think they are flowers.

I would rather my ‘Bros’ just send me petrol, I’m not putting flowers in my fuel tank, they’ll block my jets up. It would use less then, I guess.

  5. Today I mostly took ‘Pamps’ to the fixers, fitted 2 new Pagid rear wheel cylinders, coz one was spewing, and he cleaned the shoes off in a boiling bath thing. Smashing’.

  11. Impressive, isn't it?

I actually had one in the fuel tank when I first bought the van. Wondered what the hell it was. It went in the bin.

  16. Did you find out why ICTs pee fuel down the carb throats?

Spent the day refitting the interior of the crewcab.
Refitted the rubber mats in the front and rear, refitted rear seat pedestal, seat bottom and all seat belts.
Fuel tank repositioned slightly to better line up with the hole in the cab floor and refitted the 2 under seat bulkhead panels with wingnuts to make future removal less of a chore.
Went to fit the rear seat backrest and hit a problem. The top mounts were on the back of the old bulkhead that was chopped out. I managed to retrieve them but they’re quite worn and as standard they are spot welded in place. Hmm
Not sure whether to make new ones out of some angle steel and bolt them in or plug weld the old ones ?
One thing I have lost (only misplaced hopefully) are the metal clips that hold the bottom of the rear seat back.
Pictures tomorrow as it started to rain and I wanted to whip the cover back on.

Finally fitted the timer for the heated windscreen. First try worked, could tell one panel of the screen was warmer, when I only turned on that panel.

Got the cut out voltage a bit high so at idle it was turning on and off about once every two seconds.

When I got back changed a couple of constants in the code from on at 13.8V, off at 12.6V to on at 13.5V, off at 12V .
Lashed up a bracket for the push buttons out of a slice of bent steel from a PC power supply case..Its too flexible and springy.

Lights on dimly when ignition on.
Press button for less than one second. Timer starts for 4 minutes above 5C, 5 minutes below 5C.
If the alternator is running and charging the relay closes and the LED glows brightly.
Otherwise if the voltage is too low, the LED flashes about once a second, and the relay turns off.
While the timer is running , if the ignition voltage drops, the relay turns off and it goes back to flashing the LED.
But the timer keeps running as otherwise it might never complete its timeout if the voltage keeps rising and falling.. stop- start traffic e.g.
A long press on the button turns off the panel, a short press extends the time.
