Seems a bit small for the bumper bolt .. .. now how does it come out ? .. if you had a welder you could weld some coathanger wire to it and push it in the general direction of one of the access holes in the rail..

  5. It's M10. Removal was achieved by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.

  6. Did you use an easy out without it snapping?

I changed my front gear rod bush today, I’ve just been chugging back and forth on my drive. No real click into reverse, but it does go there.

The rest of the gate seems a lot closer together and finding first is not the drama it was.

  8. No! Never, ever use those blasted things! They will always - always - snap off, leaving you with a piece of hardened steel up the middle, so you're screwed.

Drilled 8mm up the middle, then folded in half with a punch to break the crust. M10 tap up the threads, and everything's sorted

On my quest in pottering about over winter I have rewired the front walk through light into the leisure circuit as it stopped working from the door open switches.

    Tick.

Went to replace the screen washer to t piece hose, which was a success, to finding out that the washer motor is seized up...and will not unseize :(

  10. Pee on it

Make sure the neighbours don't see you. Urine should clear out any blockage.

Best thing I have found is using a left handed drill bit to drill the hole most times it unscrews itself

  14. True, but not in this case. Bolt was well crusted in.

  15. I was going to say if you managed it with an easy out then go put some lottery numbers on.

  16. Good job you didn't ;)

I hate the things. Only good for undoing things that would've come undone anyway.

Surveying my front end as I was touching up the chipped Ziebart underseal.
Looks like I will need to replace the front lower offside ball joint. Luckily I have the tool that @The Little Camper Company was selling.
So torsion bar out and take it to a land rover garage!!!

  20. Does it really need replacing?
