Hmm. I dunno. It's easy to be wise after the event isn't it.
So... being wise after the event and what with your valve getting stuck and the overheating maybe saving £10 on oil while you use £630 of petrol over 3000 miles may be a false economy.
Seriously, I know people do, but I wouldn't put that in mine.

Don't shop in Halfords then. Any normal car accessories type shop will sell you 15/40 mineral oil without confusing the issue. And you support your local car shop. Even if the owner might prove to be an arse.

 

Seriously, there's one near where I work who are awful, but one near where I live who are fantastic, it pays to shop around.
The good one opened an account for me before I was in the trade just because I had an old dub and they could see I'd be back quite often. lol
