I popped over and was made very welcome...despite my not having my bus and only able to watch!!

Absolutely top people over there and have to say the concept (which I hadn't really thought about until I saw it) is really sound.. people supporting each other and sharing knowledge.

TLB is a really cool club, I'd only met a couple of people before but the diversity of members and how nice they are is a rare thing!

Morning  see you soon then, i'm afraid to admit i sloped off to bed at 10 last night - i'm sure this will add to my reputation as chief lightweight, i was bloomin' crackered from being up since six and working on my (and most other vans) i must thank zed for thanking me (even if he was bulling) for being a proper 'mr techenders' and taking some workload off him, i thought i didn't know much really but hey ho it was fun to help peeps all day, i think we're having a morning of light duties before sliding home early afternoon, (after my FREE eddie breakfast) for my donation of summat he wanted!

  19. I've just got back (was meant to come home last night, oops >:D ) and have had the BEST weekend.

I can't recommend Tekenders enough to peole. It shows you how much of a mechanical imbecile I am that until yesterday I always thought oil was black ??? but by the end of 7 hours I had crawled under every bit of my van, was covered in grease and oil, and had AMAZINGLY taken my entire dash out to refurb the symbol panel and replace the bulbs with LEDs, taken all the steering out to replace the indicator stalk, fully serviced the tappits and valve, done a full oil change AND fitted the firetec unit to the engine bay.

This was on top of learning from BJM as he changed all his fuel lines, and mooching around watching some of the heat exchanger work done by Ricky for a few people, and plenty of other stuff.

Everyone was brilliantly kind and generous in giving up their time to help others, but I have to do an extra special shout out to Jack Tatty for spending 3 hours with me on servicing the tappits and changing oil, Moosey for the chinese run and lending me everything I'd forgotten, ArtB for the gin run, Mark & Discokegs for helping me with the firetec installation and the amazing people from the JK forum especially Sarah who spent a patient 2 hours on the dash stuff with me, telling me to man up and get on with it at various points :))

This was all on top of some great camp fire camaraderie, a beautiful location thanks to the amazing and stupendously helpful Eddy who provided everything I needed that I had forgotten/not known I needed). Brilliant, brilliant weekend.

    Mwah to all!

I got back about 12.30, van ran well all way home inspite of me not doing a blithering thing to it all weekend except top the oil up. Was great convoying there n back with you YC (Honourable mention to Moosey too). We could do our pertronix's (what the plural of pertronix, pertronixi?) together at the next one. Lovely to meet some new faces, and some of the old gang too, I'll bring more marshmallows next time Zed....I didnae take me box brownie so I'm hoping there'll be some good pics at some point.... :D
