I built a car with similar size box section and that had 380bhp / ton so I reckon it will be ok

 

Maybe it won't, or maybe it will.

I won't really know for sure until I get to the bottom of the steep hill.

Either way, I plan on having a lot of fun finding out

 

Rest assured the frame holding the wheel is going nowhere!

The tube it's slid over however....

Don't know what your plans are but I would triangulate from the the end of the tube to the side rail, then you'll also have somewhere to bolt on super duper drag reducing aero panels to deflect air around the wheels

 

There's some shocks to go on too, I'm working on the mounts for them at the moment.

Once I've got all that figured out some additional axle strength is on the cards

 

First bottom shock mount mocked up, but that's enough for today, I've been here almost 12 hours and I'm tired.

Maybe some more tomorrow
