Evening logfans.

I've dusted myself off and got back on with the build.

I've been gathering some more parts



Something to sit on, some new inner tubes, a rear Axel, a bike computer so I can check out the speeds and a fake gopro video camera for in log footage.

Is there enough of a welded joint where the wheel carrier meets the frame..?
With that angle there will be a lot of load at the frame fixing..

The structural masking tape is just for mocking up. There's going to be a length of tube welded to the short end of the rear wheel mounts, this will slide over the rear Axel.

The shocks will mount by the centre of the wheels and up to the main frame. Once I've got the tube I can work out the shock mounts and move onto the front end stuff

It'll all get a bit more welding once I know I haven't got to move anything.

 

A little bank holiday update.

I did some driving practice and dusted off the trike.

We entered the Bampton shirt race, it is a race around the village with stops at all the pubs for a very quick drink. I had some help from my friend Bob the log

 

Not a whole lot of progress for ages I'm afraid, I've been away 9 of the last 10 weekends.

I shall pull my finger out and get cracking next week.

But tonight I'm gate-crashing a wedding reception and dancing to steps

I've been shopping again.

A length of 7 core cable arrived to wire up the towbar arrived yesterday,

And tonight I picked up this for the new trailer we also haven't actually built just yet



Should get back on the actual log build tomorrow night now I've had a talking to by @CollyP
