I worked all day and late last night printing an order for a customer knowing we will be going to the boat. It’s peeing it down so that will be fun.
Just had a new canopy made for he front and rear. So going to what it’s like.
I was passing a few days ago so had a quick look.

 

Working all weekend, causing travel misery between London and Anglia, renewing overhead rail lines, 1st 12 hours done, I’m drying out with a beer now, as it was a bit wet today.

Repeat and rinse tomorrow.

 

Probably better to wear a wetsuit?

 

Weather is gonna be sh!t no doubt so getting out on either of the bikes is outers so I'll be plodding on with the welding on the bus. Considering I haven't put a torch near it in almost 5 years, I'm sort of enjoying it again.

 

I’ve got a goretex all in one onesie type coverall, but they all let water through when you’re in Marmite weather all day!

 

I spose your be wetter inside by later , disruption is always on the bizziest days just to let people know you work

 

Apparently - we do most of our work on bank holidays, weekends and nights as people don’t travel on weekends

When we do major works though , they always get a film crew out from the BBC or Network Rail media office, I’ve never made it to the footage though, I’m always dirty and dischevelled looking! The camera always picks up those not doing the hard work in their Sunday best spotless orange hivizs, new hats, safety glasses etc

 

I wasn't too disappointed to miss that one, probably be getting more of the same on Monday over at the 6 fingered fen-dwellers! First time ever I'm glad I'm not going to a game against the old enemy.

 

Ah take her. After all she doen't get out much.

Good fighter he was ,used to like watching his fights , hope the stalk goes well n maybe a pic with him too .dont drink too much or you will not be popular at the boxing keep getting up for a wee

 

What lake are you fishing?

 

I have a ticket for a small syndicate that’s only 20 mins from my house. It’s called the poplars syndicate. I only have the ticket for the close season as my other lakes shut. It’s an old hand dug clay pit so very deep, which means it normally has decent winter form and you don’t normally see many other anglers here as there’s only about 40 members and half of those are old boys who fish mid week.

 

A lot more pleasant here today, but still only 3.5c. Not very spring like yet.
