So what are you all doing for the Easter weekend?

Four days off work. Yeeee haaaaaaa.
So what are ya up to?

It's raining here, so that's ruled out all those garden jobs I'd got lined up.

The camper is away being welded, so that's ruled out any form of tinkering on that.

Spring cleaning sounds like a really dull way to spend time, and a proper insult to a long weekend.

So that leaves sorting through the pile of records I inherited months ago, that have been gathering dust in the corner awaiting adding to the database, and being put into alphabetical order with all my others
(yes I am that anal about it )
Thus making room for the ones I need to go and pick up from my Auntie who's having a clear out.

    Could be worse! :)

  9. Fishing.

Well more like hiding under a brolly and dreaming of warmer weather. I generally think the term fishing implies the possibility of actually catching something. That’s not happening today.

Poxy uk weather. Poxy early Easters.

  10. Only inside only jobs possible as it's pouring with rain here in Somerset... But to stop water pouring on to the floor when I forget I can't use the windscreen washer, I successfully replaced the old perished windscreen washer pipe with a new one to the nearside jet. It required removing the glovebox to allow access, and taking the opportunity to grease the windscreen wiper mechanism. I replaced everything successfully.

What is noteworthy here is that possibly for the first time, I completed a fiddly (but albeit simple) task without breaking something else while I was doing it. And it all works. And I bought the right gauge of pipe to do the job as well.

Proud of myself doesn't come close... ;)

Was going to do a bit of painting but it's too hot up here and the paints drying too quick :)

  17. I had to abort my climbing trip to Wales after a rather scary encounter with a flying "something" on the m54.

Slight change of plan which now involves more scrubbing of carpets than I had previously envisaged - on account of me deciding to pop round to the parents for an afternoon cuppa, and my dog deciding to vom up his partially digested breakfast in great looping circles around their lounge.
    Oh happy days.

Hells teeth. So that's what my old 'toughened' windscreen will do in a similar situation.
Sorry for your aborted trip and the obvious heart-in-mouth when it happened, but look on it as a damned good reason to replace it with a laminated one !!!

  20. Actually I have a question about that, I have a spare kicking around at home (from previous owner) but how can I tell if itsia laminated one?
