Just seen a report on tv news about a bonfire party where they put a model of Grenfell Tower on the fire, and laughed while it burned.

???! ... ... It's empathy that's missing ... I don't think you even have to be mentally skewed to do terrible things, just numb, (or scared and only too glad for cr@p to be happening to someone else) Back on the increase I reckon. As my Dad might say, we're back in the 1930's.
Although I agree entirely with the the sentiments here. Please conform to the forum swear policy when wording your thread title. I have edited the title.
Maybe they should be forced to go to London and told they had to re-enact it in front of some Grenfell survivors. If they are still able to do it and laugh they should be thrown off the White Ciffs
lack of empathy has been identified for many years within education though observing 'play' in toddlers. it's the first few years that are crucial for developing empathy in a child, sadly it seems to me missing from some parenting. schadenfreude seems to be more acceptable
Watched Wim Wender's Angels over Berlin last night ... Had forgotten how thoughtful and acute it was ... just thinking only the Germans (I'm half, so not slagging!) could have a word for it!
