Well spotted, that man. I don’t think the café was open though unfortunately, although in fairness I was on a bit of a mission to make it back for my ferry. If we regain some form of normality over this summer I am definitely definitely going to the Isle of Wight in the camper.

 

Sounds about right. I have a switch that enables me to turn it off and on, but for the last two days the light has been coming on of its own accord and my switch is no longer usable then. Very odd. Hey ho, only three more weeks til the end of winter!

 

I really love it - 50 mph max speed limit most of the island.
I usually stay in Carpenter's Farm campsite, really great (but then I'm usually with a Herbert or two).
It is close to St Helens Beach and Bembridge (which is fab).
There is a guy who rents out kayaks on the beach. give him a call and he drops them down and collects them at the end of the day.

my favourite quote was from girl Herbert when we ordered Chinese TAKEAWAY in Bembridge.
"but where are we going to eat it Dad?"
"anywhere we like you Herbert, we are in a camper van"

we ate it in a carpark with the sliding door open, with a view out to sea

Naughty sheep who had been making their way down the road earlier! They are now rounded up and in a shed until their point of escape is found. I love it when there is always one sheep with a coat full of leaves and twigs. You know that they’re the one who has forced through the hedge and is escape leader!!

Happy to say that this morning's job means NO dash lights coming on whilst driving - specifically the airbag light.

Even though I had disconnected the battery, it was still a bit nerve wrecking handling the airbag unit, just in case it did....
