Somewhere in this photo is the central heating microbore pipework I have to replace.

clue - the wall feels nice and warm in a wiggly line from ceiling to skirting!

  5. I've decided there isn't enough money in the whole world to make me do decorating professionally. I now hate painting with a passion i usually only reserved for gardening. Still some touchups to do aswell.

  8. Are the owners aware you've got your SDS chisel warmed up :)? Can't you leave the old stuff in the wall? Why has it got to come out? Microbore is the worst idea ever. Fact.

it will be staying :). The difficulty has been making sure I don’t miss any branches off. There are flipping loads running all over the place, through ceilings, walls, joists etc. How I’ve laughed at some of the bizarre route taking :mad:

Surface mounting pipework will Rule Ok when I’ve finished:)

In proper 15mm, I hope. Who’s p.iss-stupid idea was microbore?

PS The Screwfix do a nifty Bosch metal detector.

Lord knows! It’s an old cottage. The owners felt the heating wasn’t over effective. As all the micro bore tee’d off 22mm pipework I’m not over surprised that the C/Htg Flow chose to choose the 22mm route instead of veering off into a long windy run of micro bore to get to the radiator!

Fair point. Sadly the twin wheels on the rear axle, and the fact the garage removed the valve extenders for some reason, means I can’t even check the pressure on a forecourt inflation machine let alone actually get any air in. Bad bad design. Will actually have to take it to a tyre place just to check the pressures! No sign of the traction warning today thankfully; I always hope faults will miraculously heal themselves..... you never know ;)

Or corrosion in the sensor ring that fills the spaces between the teeth and the traction control thinks that the wheel isn't rotating, or is rotating too slowly.

  20. Reluctor. The one on my Golf was reluctant to do anything :(...

So much relies on the wheel speed sensors now that if one packs up, 24 lights come on.
