Very sorry for your loss @Merlin Cat. He looked like a real character.

 

I'm so sorry for your loss, Alex, and share your pain intensely. I lost my mum yesterday to Alzheimer's and - like you - had to watch from a distance as she wasted away in a 'care' home for the last month of her life. Like you, I feel she was failed by the system. But they're both at peace now and, like me, I hope you have lots of lovely memories and will be able to smile again.

Whist I have every sympathy and feel sad for your loss . I don’t understand the current trend on a vw forum to announce ones recently deceased relatives .
I’m not heartless just maybe more private .

 

Have you been drinking old chap? If not you might want to give your head a wobble! @Merlin Cat is a lovely person & just expressing her sadness at the passing of her beloved Father who has had numerous mentions in previous threads so we feel as though we know him.... We certainly know of Ms Cat’s devotion to him..... I feel you have come across as maybe not heartless but a tad insensitive here.
