rickyrooo1's new ride, don't look if you don't like T5s.

Beauty of a T 5, my mate and his mrs jumped in theirs this morning and drove form Lincoln to thePeak district for a walk and BBQ just because it was a Sunday. Now i would also do this in my T2 but it would be a lot more comfortable in a T 5.

 

There's a white T 5 two pitches down from us. Looks nice to me!

Almost contemplated trading the T2 in for one earlier when it was playing up!

 

Sense of humour transplant required. I'll remember this when people ask for signature changes etc!

 

it's nothing to do with a sense of humour transplant, it's the way it makes a nonsense of a thread with a silly word change, i've never moaned about the name changes "rusty sheriff badge" turned into "hanging round like a bad smell" all very amusing, but as i said i tried to keep the t5 ramble in 1 thread where those not interested didn't need to look if they didn't want to, for example i don't look or post in certain threads if the title doesn't interest me, so posting in a thread with t5 in the title when you don't like them seems daft that's all, however when the thread title suddenly changes to something pointless it just gets a bit annoying, i know this is a bay forum but a lot of people have expressed an interest on what i plan to do to the new van.

 

Keep it up Rick, I'm interested in your choice of roof as im doing the same next year too.
Although I will be having a bed up there.

I think you're being over-sensitive Ricky. The name changes are TLB to it's very heart, part of what makes it great IMO. Why not go with the flow, I didn't worry when my prototype bay got changed every time, I also didn't argue for a special forum for early bays. This is thelatebay, you know that. It's late bays that have brought everyone together. I simply wouldn't have happened if it had been a site for any VW or any VW camper. Nobody is driving you away, you're asking too much, then getting annoyed when you don't get it. Not the same.

 

no, i don't agree. the odd word change can be funny but changing a relevant word in a sentence so it makes a complete mockery of it is silly, it may seem to you i'm sulking or being demanding, you're entitled to your opinion, i do seem to be the butt of many jokes on here - i just soak them up but right now it's getting tiresome that's all.

 

Ah well.... Back to the new camper, I'm looking forward to seeing it come together. So far it's making a T2 look cheap!

other people with non bays - again....
but i get one and suddenly it's funny to change? wierd that isn't it?
sometimes being the kid at school with "kick me" on his back wears a tad thin.

 

how so? i reckon 20k all in would make it fantastic, my bay sold for 15.500 (more than i paid for this) but needed a 6k paint job and the interior freshening up, it would still then have only done 18mpg and 60mph.....

 

You announced yourself and your T5 intentions loudly in your Rickyroo way and invited the jokes!

Mine's going to come in at quite a bit less than half your £20k and it will do 70mph. Looks like I have £10k+ to spend on petrol!

 

T5's look pretty big, will it fit in your garage?

 

doesn't need to as it will be used daily and doesn't rust the second it rains.

 

That could be quite an advantage.
