anyhoo, the 1st purchase for it was made today, nothing special just the rail that bolts to the roof so i can fit an awning, it won't be nothing flash but it gets us able to camp at t/e.... the plan is to use the van to hold the crap that used to sit in the awning like dog cage and microwave etc and the awning will be used to sleep in, when i first got the bay we actually slept in the awning and used the bay as the "sitting room" i have the inner bedroom for the outwell country road so we can split the awning in half and "live" in that.

you can get genuine VW glass middle windows that are flush fitting but obviously cost more

there's a bigger stigma attatched to the fact it has rear doors over a tailgate in t5 land.....

 

just the bolt on rail that fits to the roof bar holes, a bloke in cannock was selling one on e-bay for £20 so he ended it early and i fetched it

 

true but like i said before tailgate conversion is do-able

they look better and you can stand under them and load up like a bay.

when its raining you can use it has a an umbrella, ignoring the cost of the door the kit is only 150 quid i think
