How was it? Looks ok. It's pretty sturdy I think.

Seems good, need to get it on a level with the van, I'll have to spin the van round and put the poles on the front lawn.

there's a fair few now doing the split body paint scheme, subconsciously i guess we have it in our minds "campers" are 2-tone.

i forgot to post this, vw group engines suffer with a problem with the N75 valve which is something to do with the turbo, it fails and starts making a noise that has been nicknamed "the moo valve" mine started doing it and it got quite embarrasing the longer i left it.

fitted a new one £41 and now it runs loads better and is quicker too.

I made a little drawer by cutting an existing bed drawer down and changing the front for a piece of wood in the same colour as the units, got somewhere to put the cutlery now.

Got a "3rd" hand new to me radio which originally belonged to @pkrboo who sold it to @Robo who sold it to me..... the original radio was the pikeyline bottom of the range single cd and not a lot else - perfectly acceptable but only running 2x speakers as the van obviously used to have a bulkhead so nowhere for rears - while it's possible to code it to run 4x speakers this radio was way to cheap to turn down, it's a 6x cd touchscreen and there are so many more options that can be added/turned on should i want, the best thing is it's more powerful and will easily run more speakers.

I remade another bed board as the original was only 6mm and it might have rattled but also it was held on by magnets so i could remove it to pull the bed release, the new one is fixed with self tappers so i've had to cut a hand size hole in the top to get to the bed release but it looks ok i think. The head unit had the outputs for rears but no connectors in the loom so i had to get some connectors - this was achieved by butchering an old ford iso plug.

I the removed the glove box and ran wires down the a pillar under the floor and then under the units to the bed board. The speakers work perfectly.

The sound difference is amazing as it's now fuller and not in your face from only having front ones.
