@Woodster gave me a set of cab curtains, there's no point trying to fix them permanently due to the roof cut but a trial fit sees them quite stable, the thought is if I ever want a "stealth" camp with no front screen cover or roof up I could balance it as the pic, my other idea is for warmer cab in winter I could cable tie the rail to the roof handles.

Just finished split charge after fuses/holders arrived in record time.
Engine battery at rest.

Engine battery whilst running.

Leisure at rest.

And with engine running.

Wires in engine bay.

And beneath seat, fuse/wire on seat base wire visible through floor.

I've gone with 60a fuses for now, if they pop I have 80's.
You can physically hear the relay click in when the engine battery is up to voltage (around 13.5 I think) and when you turn off the engine it clicks off.
Hopefully now my leisure should always be full and I can just use the ctek to condition it every so often.

 

Have you tried charging the leisure from the ctek to see if it works the other way? Just curious!

 

You mean starter battery from ctek? No not yet

 

You mean leave the ctek on the leisure as now and wait to see if it goes to the starter battery when it's charging? I think that's what your saying? I'll try tomorrow and use voltmeter

@Robo 100% confirmed vsr is bi-directional, this is with 240v on engine off and c-tek on the leisure, once the leisure is 13.3v you hear the click and the starter battery goes up from 12.9 at rest to over 14v. This is good news for me as while hooked up the original interior lights/radio/central locking etc won't flatten the starter battery.

Decided to get the waste water draining outside, partly to save space but also 1st use of internal we overflowed...
Took off the plastic under tray to get to floor, measured roughly the end of the units so I could get as close to the corner as possible.


Drilled small hole and stuck a screwdriver in to locate inside.



Opened hole out and painted bare metal



Fed pipe through and refit panels.


Van too low for water can so fitted a outlet off a caravan, also stops creepy crawlies.


Job jobbed.

Mine carries the waste round ,one tank for fresh one for waste ,in fact I have never empted the waste ew...

I also have a curtain to seal off the cab area ,it used to be the shower curtain rail on silent gliss stuff ,stops prying eyes...

your van is coming on...

 

So, with removing the waste inside I had more space, trouble is it was kinda holding my gas bottle steady so I had a think, wanted to go butane in the van so my propane could be used outside on the fridge, this gave me the chance to swap over and as there's a void under the cupboards I decided to make a hole.....


Bottle sits in now and can't go anywhere.


Those eagle eyed will say "where's the gas drop out?" Well, there isn't one yet, as we only have a hob I turn it off at the bottle when not in use, if/when I leave it on all the time (say if I go propex) I'll fit one.
Lots more room there for a drawer or shelves now, the other side is neater now as well, pipe exits in the corner.

Fitted another 12v socket, this time off the leisure battery for my tv or small inverter whilst no 240v is available.

doubtful it's a renault traffic or summat.... there's a bloke a few doors up the other side who's got a huge coachbuilt jobbie though which is very nice
