You bought a car for less than I spent on the last service on a real hairdressers car, my Alfa I might get myself onto Autotrader later
Engine management light could be just the sensor in the exhaust as its been stood. With ours, if you start the engine then turn off and remove the key, then start it again - do this 7 times ( yep I know it sounds stupid) the light goes out !! The other way, I understand, is 3 "heat cycles" i.e. start the car and warn it up to operating temp and let it cool 3 times and the light will go out. Worth a try.....! Cheers B
Hi rick i have a basic code reader if you want a rough idea what it is you are more than welcome to borrow it?
ref the warning light it's the garages problem but in past experience it's usually a failed lambada sensor - there are 2 on the beetle 1 pre and 1 post cat......it also says on the net standing or low fuel can cause it....it's in the red with the light on so i'll fuel up and play tomorrow. i looked for the nail varnish warning light and it tells you if your make up is smudged on the top spec' model but i must not have that....luckily it's got the option of "your tights are laddered" and "did you remember to do the ironing" so it must be a decent spec'
I think it's for hairdressers with really big heads, so they can see both eyes (one in each mirror) when they are putting their mazzy on ;D
