Oh it's Blue by the way that shiny aqua sort of blue not dark but not sky blue if you get me.

  2. Everyone'll think you're a hairdresser

  3. do it mate, sounds like your talking yourself into it because you have already made your mind up, like you said all cars have "issues" someone always knows something that a car has trouble with. if you like it (which i think you do) go for it and if you dont like it then sell it in a few months no harm done

  4. Yeh do it ,its only money blue is the next brown ;)

  6. Rick i recomend a passat, we've got a 1998 1.8 (non turbo) and it wont die, i keep waiting for it to so i can get a newer car, but it sales it through its mot every year and is all i've done to it is replace a window winder cable, a new tyre and a set of brake pads, i top up the rad weld about every 6 months or when mrs mh comes in a says 'the little is on in the car and its got no power'! the exhaust blows but a bit of gun gum at mot time has sorted that. So I cant recommend them enough for a cheap to buy quality car!

When it does die i'm slightly tempted by a beetle though (I must need to come out the closet or somthing) and mrs mh drives it most of the time, thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it ;)

  7. If it's anything like mine it will be a fun car to drive. You get loads of people waving at you.
Mechanically it's been sound, cosmetically that different.

  9. Is this the one with the audio wheels at chase car sales. If so it looks pretty good for the money. We had a 2 litre petrol manual. It was ok not the fastest though.

  14. Dunno mate, i rode past on my bike on Monday, in fact the mrs couldn't beleive how cheap it was! Craig and Dave are good guys, we've had a couple of cars off them over the years.

  16. I had a 2006 Beetle when I met Steve which he thought was hilarious but I loved it and was devastated when I sold it. It was India Blue which is fairly uncommon but quite distinctive and no, I didn't have a plastic flower. I thought it was great but the only thing I didn't like was the fact the boot release never worked properly and three doors was a bit of a pain. Worth it though! :)

I passed a VW garage today which was selling a 2005 black convertible Beetle which I liked very much but I'll stick with my horrible Peugeot 307 until I get the Karmann Ghia that I've been promised for my big birthday later this year...

    ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

grabbed a crap photo on the way back from work, only rough bit i saw is a dent in the other sill where it looks like it's caught a high curb.

  20. Was it a dent or is it a pressing in it from the factory, think mine has a small one in the sill somewhere, will have a look tomorrow when I can see.
