Just read your updates, the engine looks superb!
Wow wow wow!! That's about it really, lost for words at how awesome this is!! Well done mate!!
You made a reservoir? The aftermarket ones are ok you know... lol
Bracket plate looks very good.
Yes I bought a reservoir but the 944 master cylinder needed 12mm not 7mm spigots...and the master cylinder holes are bigger so I couldn't swop the grommets... The 944 ones are taller and it was easier to make one ...in stainless
Redesigning the SC belt tensioner , bought an Audi A5 auxiliary tensioner so going to fit that ...really dragging my feet but time and funds dictate progress
So wouldn't non-servo grommets have fitted? I recall they are different.
Although I don't really understand a lot of your technical stuff, it all looks brilliant and very skilfull.
Think they are 10mm same as golf .... Reservoir was only an hours work
Some other pics on my thread in modified shizzle
playing with the belt tensioner , a surprising amount of tension and a 3 hand job getting it on
This is off the scale. I need some of your ali flaps, but looking at this you must do those in your sleep!
Serious skills. Love it!
I do have a large box of those ......thank you ....I'm tempted to do away with the alt V belt and change that to a 5 rib belt
Top work as usual
The tensioner does look kind of out of scale. Was it a calculated thing to end up with that?
Yes by Audi ...but seriously it's the same size wheel as I had before but this way it's a constant force on the belt due to the Spring ....I did look at others but similar size just this one was easiest to fit and better for the bearings ...by the time it's anodised it'll look ok ..
Wow! Amazing thread & a beautiful bus. You are a clever fella. Can't wait to see this run!
How far off is this engine now?
If I stop messing with the bus ( servo ,exhaust etc) about a week .....I never had an exhaust to run it so decided to use the one on the van but at the same time keep the van usable by making j tubes .......I'll take a pic of the wiring ,
Don't know what I'm looking at but it looks cool
Just been through your thread... Impressive skills and awesome job mate!
Can't wait to see this one run.
