Ressurect a thread from the dead

Currently general discussion is 586 pages long, why not pick a random page (your age/house number/etc) and pick the most obscure thread to bring back to life? it confuses people and is all good.

Haven't lots of the people who started threads 2 years ago disappeared or at least not re uploaded avatars since the last crash.

Surely an old thread is only so if the member saying same has been on whatever site for quite a while /knows more re topic than the poster(who does not know of the/any "search function ") ive seen new guys on various sites getting ,post wise ,taken apart by the "old hands" (read saddos) for asking what to them was a genuine question, it imo hardly bodes well for any site when some have nothing better to contribute than weighing in with sarcasm /vitriol re a new guys question, for me it begs the question ,why not simply ignore the new guys question ?how can it bug you so much ? was your reply going to encourage peeps to join the site ?
