Spot on. Trump hates America. He hates the judiciary, he hates the constitution, he hates the plebs (everyone). As you say he'll pardon everyone and the sickest aspect of that is those pardons make it impossible to prosecute those same crimes when repeated.
Oops. Who would have thought Trump could get things a bit wrong! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c20xn626y81o
This will be interesting, Governor Josh Shapiro's house was fire bombed last night while he and his family were asleep in the house. It looks serious. He's a Democrat. Let's see what Pam Bondi has to say about that.
Maybe it too was a mistake, a couple of Iskander missiles here, a fire bombing there. You know how easy it is to unintentionally release lethal force.
The latest quote from Mr Orange... '...I'm a very flexible person, I don't change my mind but I'm flexible...'
It's been such for a long time - that swing voters change elections and nobody else really matters. Sorry to say that swing voters (excluding our Purple of course, not trying to offend him) are by definition politically dumb and disinterested, the kind of folk who vote because they think they should, but no interest beyond a sound bite or two that they feel represents their views and too lazy to consider the consequences even when the likes of Trump spell it out. I've been moaning about it for decades but the right wing end of politics love it - dumb people like turkeys voting for Christmas. You can make educated arguments but these days a meme has more power. The common denominator is always racism - As long as you appeal to racists they'll vote for you even if you tell them you'll ruin their lives. Weird eh? Just slogans on the racist stuff, then a paragraph saying how you're going to screw them - they loose interest after the first few words, too technical.
I read a good article recently that proposed that austerity tends to push voters to vote for any answer that offers a simple solutions. They also suggested that in tough times voters will vote for somebody who identifies easily targeted people such as the so called elite, minorities etc as the problem rather than the real problems that require looking at themselves. E.g. China is the problem, rather than America's over consumption and high wages. We all have our reasons for voting one way or another. I may disagree with some but as whilst the extremes were kept out, the differences between the parties were quite minor. However, the extremists are gaining power, they are following Putin's playbook and freedoms are starting to be erroded. It worries me that the sickness is spreading e.g. the trend to demand books be removed from schools and libraries is starting here, or the right to demonstrate being restricted etc. The trends do worry me and putting my head in the sand will only allow the sickness to spread. What can I do, not a lot, but I still do what I can.

Hungary have decided to start on the minority now, in the name of protecting the children. Not long before Orban signs over the country to Putin.
Well, back to reality eh. It would be really interesting to know what Putin has on this orange cretin. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg5q0mev07lo
Did you see the White House publicity charade with the El Salvador president? Subject reporters were asking about returning the fellow who shouldn't have been deported (not that any of them should have been). That bean head nazi adviser Stephen Miller boldly stated the supreme court had voted 9-0 upholding Trumps actions as constitutional. The reality is they voted 9-0 AGAINST Trump, stating his actions were utterly UNconstitutional. The supreme court has a Republican majority.
Stephen Miller is the power behind Trump's deportation policies. Proper unapologetic racist. Like Musk he realised he'd never be elected and has wormed his way into advisory politics by being obnoxious. He reminds me of our equally detestable Rees Moggy - zero redeeming character, ugly, dull arsehole that can only get attention by being an OTT fascist.
Heightens air travel sickness nerves if you accidentally upset USA Homeland security - easily go down a nasty alien rabbit hole. Hence my bucket list Yellow Stone trip stays in the thing with a handle.
