Porsche seats are the ones or seats from a sports car like a Toyota MR2. Look for thin seat squabs. Saab seats are proper seats but the squab is massive.

Mine were £70 in good nick.
Trouble is the trimmers I've tried want £450 to retrim them! I think they hear the word "Porsche" and think kerching!
I gave up getting them done and fitted them as they were. Far more comfortable than the Saab 9000s they replaced.

Got mine out of a boxster for £240 delvered.

Old ones needed taking out, runners carefully removed on drivers side and the swivel base on the passenger side.

M10 threaded bar and nyloc bolts and spacer plate (£20 from Jewsons)

    Job done.

Wired up so they are all electric adjustable too.

Im 6ft 3 and they are just low enough

  6. The boxster seats look really good, didn't realise they fitted too

  8. You don't always need to look out for a specific auction for seats as breakers often just advertise the vehicles (or rather a 99p auction for a wheel nut), then you can contact them to ask what they have available. That's how I got mine, £50.

  9. Got my boxster seats from a breakers opp north, he had lots of them.

  11. I don't know about the boxster seats, but my 944 ones where just and earth and a switched live... ran mine through a 16amp fuse, as it blew out the 8amp one that I initially used

  12. It was just a live (spare from fuse box) and an earth. All switch gear included in seats. Very simple.

  13. Thats good to know, would have avoided elec seats if it would have been a big job but sure I'll manage that then. Thanks for the tip.
