  1. I came in a bit late on this thread as I've been watching love island and fell asleep due to the sheer tedium and complete numptyness

  2. Nooo. Oldy but goody. Quite a classic piece of industrial design, I reckon. Very minimalist.

We're trying to get on extreme hoarders but haven't quite qualified yet. Trouble is the job seekers don't go far once you've got the take outs, fags and Stella.

I have a similar issue today to the original post. My Glow-Worm Ultracom HXI boiler keeps firing up. I have switched off the controller, disconnected the thermostats, but it keeps on wanting to heat the house!

The fault diagnostic most recent fault menu is not showing a fault number but 3 little nnn like characters, not sure if that is relevant.

I've switched off the boiler for now, but wondering if there is anything I can do, is is it likely the controller is shot or the boiler controls.

As an aside, the house is split into an upstairs and downstairs zone with separate pipework and separate controllers. The issue is only happening upstairs so I'm thinking the upstairs controller is faulty, but why is the boiler still firing up when everything is apparently off. Any advice gratefully received.

Possibly fixed (fingers crossed) the valve actuator was stuck open (there just over a year old...!) I've hit it with the proverbial hammer  and it seems to have cured the problem...I hope. I still don't understand why an open valve would cause the boiler to light when the controller is staying stay off...but if it works....
