Based on the help from here and know knowing what the controller is I've just bought exactly the same one, brand new, for £50.
Finally something on the forum I understand !!! They are still available. From memory they don't have the newer std back plate that allows you to just click a new front on without needing to touch the wiring inside. But the new one uses the same wiring base so just wire it up the same. Easy. Before you do just check that the motorised valve for CH isn't jammed and calling the boiler on making you think it's the programmer.
Oh and for future reference we are heating engineers, not plumbers. Plumbers are a lower class of individual who touch toilets.
Ah bit late but i have one of those used / untested in my collection of bits, yours foc if its of use to you
On the plumbing front, nice little story from work. Roof leak over the weekend in some student flats! Went unnoticed and soaked a ceiling - ceiling collapsed. part of the ceiling fell onto a basin hitting the crosshead tap and switching it on, sink was full of damp plasterboard so didn't drain. Tap ran all weekend and flooded down through 3 floors. Kin-disaster, its a right mess. Transpires roof gulley lead had gone missing. Ten bobsworth of lead - no idea on full costs just yet but will possibly be 100k plus!
I've got the same controller and have the wiring diagram/instructions. pm me your email if you want them, you could fix your old one and get your £50 back on your new one
Yup, about 15 to 20 years and worked perfectly which is why I'll replace it with the same type. It's like NOS heating controllers as opposed to the modern pattern stuff.
