This is what needs getting a grip of , and they wonder why the country is going to the dogs ,and who’s making all the money the lawyers and the robbers . Innocent people have to pay every time No deterrents at all , like you say they know how to play the system
I was assaulted in an unprovoked attack by a local drug dealer some years back, I got him sent to prison for three months but would regularly see him around town after that, he recently died of a heroin overdose, I wouldn't say I was happy about it but at least I know I won't bump into him when I'm out for a few pints, your lad did the right thing, I didn't get the chance to fight back but felt after wards that I should have done something, probably better that I didn't
Mini update.. Matt went to see the police officer yesterday, Gave a full statement, The getto gangster, has now been charged with another robbery.. this time the person knew him... He is already on an electronic tag , To enforce a curfew, He is to be charged with Matts robbery, and the police suspect he will plead guilty.. (I doubt he will as he was masked)
Says it all really, much better when they could send them to that place down there south... Australia to be with @Terrordales
Is it like here in Ireland, where once someone is caught for one crime they voluntarily admit to many others because the courts have to have their sentences run concurrently, 20 x 3 months = 3 months, its great for detection rates though If they don't admit it they are open to being convicted of the crime at a later date
It sounds like such a foreign idea, but something that might work. It probably encourages repeat offenses though, cause if you get caught once, it's not any worse either way.
You keep your scumbags over there, we free settlers still have problems with the last lot you sent over here.
Update.. The little ghetto gangster is now being held on remand, awaiting trial.. He has been charged with multiple robberies.. It's a start I suppose..
