my lad was robbed by a teenage mugger , wearing a mask in that London today ... he was threatened with a weapon and handed over his phone ... He is well shocked and shook up by it... By one of londons finest youths.. the type who hopefully will probably live a Marmite (maybe short) life.. Why do they steal them.. I would have thought they are near useless in this day and age.. as It was blocked in 30 mins.....
There are some bad guys out there btw what sort of weapon and where was he? I presume they can get it unblocked and can sell it on reasonably easy. *****ers low life scum.

We are going backward in this country , lawless springs to mind . Trouble is these things are worth too much money and the world is greed and want ridden ! Looking today, the iPhone 7 plus 128 £800 outright, Samsung Galaxy 9 £975. If they can be sent outside the EU then they will still work. I don't believe the IMEI block works outside our networks.

There's been a few kids mugged for their phones up here in rural West Lancs. Hope your kid is going to be OK , it's a nasty thing to happen
I remember seeing a couple of girls get there phone nicked a month or so back. Couldn’t do anything about it as it was snatched out of there hand. Someone took up chase and caught him. Only problem is they called the police, pointless imo. They should have just given him a bloody good hiding. Scum of the earth. Only problem is what incentive is there to work. You can nick plenty of phones to make a tidy living and the old bill do jack all. Hope your son is ok.
Hey folks thanks for all the great comments . A brief outline.... Matt [27] had been with his girl friend to Vienna on Sunday and run a marathon there.. he went in to the office in central London at 8 am Monday did a days work , caught the tube to London Bridge around 6pm then thought.. to stretch his legs he would walk, back to New Cross where they live it seems with hindsight, he took a route through a council estate off the beaten track... at some stage a lad [16-18] rode past him on a bike .....carrying a crutch..? Matt said he glanced at him thought was odd riding a bike with a crutch.. and he saw he had a scarf tied around his face as a mask.. he walked on, then the lad on the bike pulled up in front of him, and angrily shouted what the f@ck are you looking at me for .. Matt ran a bit up the road... but the lad rode up .. then he blocked the path with his bike and started lashing out with the metal crutch.. he shouted give me your phone and wallet ..another lad was riding circling around on a bike too.. Matt gave him his phone and empty wallet He was really angry that he didn't fight back.. but I've told him he could have ended up stabbed, or end up in hospital for his troubles.. on the up side the phone was getting old, and the wallet only had a debit card, and a Nando's card in it... im glad it didn't happed to his girlfriend or someones mum or a young child.. I've told Matt that at least he's working hard and getting on in life.. a lesson has been learnt and he can move on ... where as the dirty little getto gangster will probably end up taking a dodgy heroin fix or end upon the wrong end of a kitchen knife... all well that ends well...
