Have changed his name to Oxide Ollie '72 , off to give the roof a wash

 

Stage two of paint .....those coach painters must have had the patience of the saints , 3 hours one door nearly done , no masking tape does not stop paint bleeding or produce a smooth line, I have not even flattened it back yet ! Hoping to get a few of the panels finished tomorrow and maybe even the writing on the side .....watch this space......

Getting there and yes I have missed a bit , took be all day just to finish the top coat, pinstripe a bit wiggly but first attempts, also turned my hand to sign writing only turns out I am not that good at free hand .....painted over it .....back to the drawing board ....(literally)

 

Love it, half of mine is red oxide at the moment over repairs and I think the Matt finish looks good and the brushstrokes in mine not yours

 

Thank you, there are plenty of brushes strokes on this, once the welding work is completed I will flatten it back and do it properly but at the moment little point , but he will stay oxide and Matt black now , really liking it like this , grey canvas pop top next year rock n roll

Well next stage starting , new flooring going in, I am having a hell of a fight with a sowing machine trying to refurb the cushions, hoping to get new seats in as well before this week. Starting on the door cards and covering the ones I have and getting round to making the others. Now ordering some very unusual curtains , so have to get the curtain rail etc up in the next month. Next month ordering the buddy seats, really pleased to find the Rusty Lees do the ones I want. Feeling overwhelmed with the amount I can get on with at last, but very excited!

 

Am going dark grey pop top and canvas too (well eventually) to match the final scheme if it ever comes off,

 

who the flipping hell welds seats in ! Arggghhhhh

 

Well I ain't stressing my self just got in, sewing (thanks @zed ) can wait who needs new seat covers for a show anyway, other door rubber will go on in the morning and flooring can hang on in there till I return, old seats back in till I can findsomeone to assist in changing them over, eg removing welded on runners ...I did not get as much dine this week as I hope ....oh well cold beer and dying my hair orange before off to DATH tomorrow
