My plan was to have my bus finished & on the road in 2 years which I thought was being generous- 6 years on I'm still welding!

  5. Ok the update again.... The engine bay is painted and the new engine in, sold one of my fathers paintings to fund some of the work , which sold well at auction . The dub is having his next MOT hopefully next Thursday then should hopefully pick him up Tuesday . I have changed the plan a bit the next step is getting the roof sort and the window rubbers , then buy a winter coat tow bar , fit the new seats and sort out a leisure battery , then over winter the welding then the pretty stuff next spring .'.then the kitchen bed etc ( of course this is a dream and unless I follow a leprechaun to the end of the rainbow and will take years ) :)

  6. Actually looking at the plan above am not doing that badly , have got the petrol cap lock ,under dash shelf and new seats ( they have just got to go in) feeling pretty chuffed a year on , new engine , brakes, steering and gears being sorted maybe things are not as bad as they seem :)

  7. chuffin good stuff

  9. New exhaust, new engine, new corners, and lots of other stuff done, next on the list is all the usual , out riggers, jacking points, back arches, inner and outer sills, rear and outer vallences, and it also needs replacement carb and driver doors. Sadly the new lock I bought for the back does not fit despite it being a 72 onwards. Carb also needs a rebuild :( . Going to get Summer out of the way then start bit by bit.

  10. Tomorrow's jobs are painting the headlining to get rid of those blooming awful clouds (will replace head lining later on) and you know what that dark glittery blue is getting on my nerves, going to rat it tomorrow until once the welding is done than will get a good paint job on him :)

See that copper pipe from the carb to the distributor? It's supposed to go uphill from the distributor to prevent any petrol running down into the distributor vacuum can and destroying it. Someone put it on the wrong way round, pull it off and switch the ends round. :)
