Oil leak, looks like OS Rocker Cover

If you can do the clips up easily by hand they are too loose. There was a big difference when I bought new ones from VWH, compared with the ease of moving old rusty clips.
The oil leaks stopped from the rocker covers as well.

Another thing I found before the rocker cover spring replacement and while still fighting the leaks was the silver paint on the recon AD engine went over the rocker cover gasket sealing area, so that wasnt properly flat. That doesnt help either.

 

I have noticed that the cheap after market covers have wrinkles on the mating surfaces in the pressing near the corners, I have a NOS pair of T4 ones in the garage and they have no such wrinkles, Im thinking that like the wrinkles on my face they can't be good!


PS Wish my only leak was from the rocker cover.
