5 fuscia plants, 40 begonias and removing a bag full of cat poo later... Prepared to be wowed at the saltaire open gardens weekend


I'm pinning my hopes on the bunting, fairy lights and lawn flamingoes making a massive difference!

 

Every garden is better with flamingos

 

Flamingoes are the future. Had to take the mog to the vet once because I was worried about her eyesight. The vet looked very confused when I explained that she kept running into the flamingoes.

 

Flamingoes are indeed cool. You need lots of them, tho'...

 

Fabulous, dharrrling! Are they yours? i used to have lots but lost most over the years... must get some more

 

the bloody buggers won't go away...

..if i had my way, we'd fill Saltaire with them for a weekend... maybe house warming or decorating party?

 

Pic pinched from the internet, I'm afraid. However. They look so cool, I might invest in a few. Do you think three is too few to start with? Mebbe five?

 

I've had mine years and today looked at the prices of them now.... Bogging hell! They must be 'in'. As many as poss is the key... I only have 3 left and they look lonely

 

Christ, the price of them! Flamingoes will have to wait...

Snotty, check out the forums on TheLateFlamingo.com, lots of good advice for anyone thinking of buying their first flamingo. Careful, lots of unscrupulous people out there. Mate of mine bought one advertised as Early Flamingo, one careful owner, fsh,rock solid......turned out to be a mute swan.

I used to have a picture of a romany women coming out of a traditional caravan that was painted in a simaler style to your pic
