a couple of photos of the internals before i put the case back together i can't wait for this project to be finished so i can enjoy the old girl
Well not too bad considering that I've had a load of other stuff going on too!! And now I've been off it for a week with a bad sinus infection Engine is looking good Neil
Hi Paul, Just read through your thread. Very impressive! Got a picture of the Chinese plasma cutter you've been using, sounds useful.. Cheers s
no pics, but this is the one that I've just got http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLASMA-CUTTER-CUT-40-OVER-4000-SOLD-/190690729831?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c660d9f67#ht_2978wt_1067
Well after much deliberation these are the wheels i've bought for my camper, so the fuch replicas are up for sale! and here is the colour combo for the camper
So after having some nasal/sinus virus/infection for about a week, I finally managed to have a light duties day and got some work done So as the weather was Marmitee, and the new polystyrene turned up in the post this morning I decided that I'd crack on and get the pop top all tied up and ready for install!! New poly in place and glued down!! Roughly cut the hole for the roof vent Got the headlining laid out All clipped in Outer seal all clipped in Roof vent fitted That's all for today, as I'm pooped
So after another scraping session - I think that's around 12/14hrs worth of scraping now I got a little more paint on the chassis tonight... will finish off in the morning Dropped a new bit of brakeline in, as the old one was starting to rust bad Front tub all scraped out!! Pulled the beam to make my life easier Painted... just need to go over where I masked off, as I didn't want it going on too thick and then cause me issues getting the beam back on!! Another angle So that's the front end done.. Just got the rear tubs, over the gearbox area, and the rear chassis rails/battery trays left to do!!
Cheers dude 8) No pictures today, but the chassis is now painted And I've started getting the front panel skimmed up with some filler... smooth as a babies bum by tomorrow eve
almost smooth... A bit more sanding and we'll be there!! I hate photo's like this... always looks worse than what it is Stripped the old paint and filler off the D/S - I've got this side mostly skimmed back in now.. unfortunately due to the damage this side has had, a lot of the metal has stretched, so I've had to wag a load of filler back on to it... but a damn site less than what there was Then while I was waiting on some filler curing off, I dug out the fitting kit for the rear anti-roll bar.. That went in really well... been a while since I fitted one
Popped down and saw paul and the old girl today and she was looking a lot better than the last time i saw her, great work paul, these next 5 weeks can't come fast enough ;D
