its not an intentional hobby but I have habit of entering ultra marathons most note able the marathon des sables, and the devised to Westminster kayak race. there are a couple of 2/3 day marathons in the Alps that have caught my eye too!

other than that mrs chipp and baby chipp keep me pretty busy along with general fitness stuff and being self employed I just about find time for a bit of camping.

ha ha, its not intentional, these things just sort of.......happen! or more to the point I don't have the sense to say 'no' when the idea is put to me!

 

Photography is my main one but not had much time recently (single dad with teenaged daughters). Cooking, bread making, shopping (girls cost a fortune), taxi driving, agony aunt, hate gardening though but would like to grow me own veg (work that one out). Probably my favourite past time is chicken choking...

 

I play bass in a band & dabble with the saxophone. That, along with Shotokan Karate and VW tinkering pretty much takes up most of my time

 

Life is good here at the lotty. Sat here looking at all the lovely fruit and veg that I will hopefully get this year.

There are so many flowers on the strawberries, I am hoping for a bumper crop so I can make a decent supply of jam (preserving is another hobby!)

Looking good I love allotments (though have enough on my hands with the garden without taking on anything extra!).

 

Went mud mining last night. Extending a cave by digging out a blocked passage. 3m in two hours, good going.

Cycling is probably becoming my biggest time consuming hobby other than the van. 50 odd mile spins round Windsor and the North Downs, just glad there are no hills down here like there are up north.

we live in the middle of nowhere so we make our own wine,beer and other stuff. we make 15% proof water which is then put through a still (dont tell anyone)not really allowed and it comes out at about 60% proof. i could make it into bio ethonol but then again why waste alcohol

 

would love to try pyrography, your work looks great. if only i had a steady hand.....

The excuse for going this year is its my 50th! Old blokes who should know better!!

 

I buy and sell vintage goods, its been my passion for years but the house is full to the brim now so a couple of years ago we decided to start selling instead of keeping.Its hard work believe it or not,sourcing,cleaning,fixing and selling but I get a buzz. We both detest the word vintage and prefer to think of it as proper but if you want to attract punters you have to use the dreaded word. Just spent all day sorting out treasure for a fair next week.
