Nearly coming to the end now rear roof stripped re painted in satin as it should be roof bars blasted and repainted and fittings riveted on as per factory , next up in front hinging roof and redo the roof bed

 

This bus is looking fabulous -I will have to come and see it one day in person, deserves attention.
I hope you found a garage for it now as it is too nice to leave outside

 

Hi Damon welcome anytime mate yep ive my own garage i just needed to sort it out which i have done

 

look forward to it although I might get some van envy so may have to wash it down with a beer or two

 

So roof all finished replaced hardware with top quality hinges from Buttys Bits and installed gen great quality cab door and engine lid handles from 21window ( Dan ) next up is too recover the roof bed and install and minor bits and peices door mirrors etc I've gone for the convex glass jobbies from Auto Wares also manage to find the correct air ducts

 

not far off now ....roof needs finishing and various small bit and peices

 

So today has been mostly about cavity waxing the cab doors and installing new cab door cards new plastic liners and german door seals etc

So today's been mostly about fitting the canvas , decent quality and fitted fairly easily, bit of fiddling here n there , canvas came from NLAVW

 

So we are really down to one last push , canvas fitted quite nicely I'm told has some give which is want you want too tight and it tears, it's also got a pretty roof fringe. Steve was not to impressed with the westy roof luggage fitting kit as the rubbers are too high and the supplied screws are mank not even stainless ( NLAVW) please take note, rear hatch seal is top quality tho of course it is German !! Rear curtain tie backs installed as are the convex wing mirrors from Auto Wares top quality just sorting out the rear roof now and rear bumper , test drive and mot to go now and Bob's ya uncle or auntie lol

 

Nice touch with the original style fringe on the roof

It’s lush . Chrome Opening quarter light in the front doors would be icing on the cake . I love mine

Mines a UK van so as such shouldn't have them really unless it was a factory option
