Very nice! Are the seals in the cab doors?

I see the slider seal fitted so they probably are. Don't think you had new arches but sometimes when you do the door fits lovely without a seal but...

 

no didnt have new arches only thing i needed replacing was the battery tray unbelivably

 

It looks like a cracking good bus and that paint job is super.

 

im very lucky tbh mate Steve Nolan had already sourced the bus and he dont ever buy basket cases so thats half the job done really and his resto work really is top notch you dont trade for 40 odd years and turn out rubbish

 

As well as a better end "product" it also makes the whole process more enjoyable for everyone. Grinding and welding is overrated!
I can think of two people off hand on here who did similar probably 20 years ago or even more and their buses are used in anger and still looking great. There are probably many more.

I didn't do a great job on mine either. Looks ok to a man on a galloping horse and 99% of other people probably but ann0ys me. I can't even force the bottom in. Same driver side. Think the knee bit sticks out just a mm or 2 too far. It's more of a precision thing than you realise when you start.

 

That’s the passenger side door built up new chrome scraper quarter light stripped and restored.

 

I think all of them have a little niggle that grates us but remember from factory something didn't always line up here or there

 

Really impressed with you finish also like the originality of pastel white over orange, we have decided to orange up to gutters and pastel white roof only. Undecided whether to paint bumpers like you.

 

Van looks amazing - I would love to know how much this resto has cost as the attention to detail is incredible? I am guessing this van is a huge investment

Your right it wasnt cheap but then high quality never is , as for a investment sort of as long as i can get a good few years of worry free..ish use then im happy my ultimate aim is to eventually pass on to one of my children ( all in their 30s ) ive had a few nice vans in my time but this one is def a keeper ive always wanted a RHD earlyish/late westy so ticks my boxes completley
