  1. I have made a simple diagram in paint (god I hate that program) have I got it right? Its to run an 8 led system on 12v.

  2. Errr.... why've you got 2 lots of wiring for the indicators, and 2 relays? I'm guessing you want turn and hazard?

easiest way would be an on/off/on as you've got, and then a 2 pole switch for the hazards... should all operate from the same relay then...

  3. Yes that's right, I also forgot a second switch for the hazards.

  4. So how would i wire that? 2nd Pair of wires off the switch to a secondary on/off switch wired to all indicators?

  5. I'll have to refresh myself dude... been a while since I did a rewire on a dub... give me a few and I'll come back and post a good reply :)

  6. ok, so for the ind/haz you'll need the on/off/on switch, 2 pole switch, and a 3 pin indicator relay....

with the 2 pole, you common (join) the 12v from the relay to both (centre) poles, and then the left goes to one, and the right to the other... I've modded your diagram for you to see...

    relay has 3 terminals:

    + 12v
    31 ground
    49a to switch(s)

    Does that make sense?

  7. I forgot to say, if you're using leds, make sure they're 12v, otherwise you'll have to use a resistor on the led to change to voltage on it!! :)

    And...

    I'll be done in a sec ;)

A electronic indicator relay, as it has a timed circuit as opposed to relying on the wattage of the bulb to time the circuit (that's why the indicators flash faster when a bulb blows)

  8. So the two pole is an on/off?

    Yup got 12v LEDs.

So I need a electronic indicator relay thing as well or instead of?

  9. yeah, it's an on/off... and the relay is instead of a std one...

  10. Nice one, cheers mate.

  11. No probs!! Give me a shout if you get stuck

  12. Just checking, is this the same relay?

  13. looks to be the same

  14. Nice one, just £9 cheaper. Got to keep the costs down

  15. try plugging the relay into your van to see if it works ;)

you want to use the contacts down one side of the switch, the feed from the relay to the middle connector, and the indicator feeds on each end

  16. My van doesnt have led's though.

Cheers, I was a little confused with all the connectors

  17.
  18. Turns out one of the chips is fried. Off to see if I can pick up one locally.
