Masks???

  1. If they’d said wear them in March, supplies for the NHS would have been even harder to get.

  4. Who cares, just wear one, it won't hurt to wear one. The problem with the UK people (generally, not all) is they think they know better and should be spoon fed everything.

  5. The trouble is that this stupid country and it’s stupid leaders don’t give the people proper guidance
I saw a familyWalking in the New Forest in the open and cleanest air
    Wearing masks
and then I saw Cupid stunts sat at the East end arms happily sitting and slobbering over each other... pubs open And nobody Gaf;)

    Masks in all shops
No masks in pubs and restaurants.
There is no possible science that can square that.
It must be a test to see how gullible people are.

I think it’s more common sense than science. You can’t eat and drink wearing a mask but you can shop.

If people feel more comfortable wearing masks all the time when they are out then let them. Just because they don’t have to doesn’t make it wrong.

  10. Ok but Maybe it will come law .. just as it has in our European neighbours ..
But of course we don’t care about that only when we have to
I don’t think anyone really knows what they are supposed to be doing because nobody has advised them/us:D

I assumed it was the simple fact that vastly more people go to shops than pubs (evidenced by how many more shops there are compared to pubs).

Also they usually go to several shops, whereas most people go to one or two pubs.

Thing is we were told it was not mandatory to wear one at the height of the pandemic, why is it mandatory now?

  13. I refer to my first comment, who cares, if its what they think is now required then do it.

Bozo thought it was ok to shake everyone's hand in a covid ward, that turned out well.

  15. This could hit local smaller shops incredibly hard, was chatting to the village newsagent this morning when I went to get a paper ... in theory next week when I walk into his shop I will have to wear a face covering, but I can go to the village pub and sit relatively close to a number of people who after a few pints no longer care for social distancing. as others have said no science in it what so ever.

  16. Do people go to pubs from outside Wales..from experience and what I’ve seen and heard nobody ever goes in them unless they are Welsh ,inward thinking like The caulk heads even before this situation took hold they must love having something tangible to grab hold of :)

  17. And? That has nothing to do with this thread

    I don’t understand your question.

Do pubs in Wales only have Welsh people in them? No idea. I know I don’t go in them, pre Covid other than for food.

In an act of solidarity, I treat English and Scottish pubs the same way.

From what I can see, most food places and pubs have people outside today, very few indoors in Cardiff.

The mask requirement is imminent here too I assume.

If there is the remotest possibility that wearing a mask would save somebody's life, then why wouldn't you?

Perhaps that time I wear one in the shop might inspire someone else to wear one who hadn't been previously, which in turn saves them passing on the virus...

You never know how events turn out. What harm does it cause you to wear one? It's a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things. I would like to get back to normal as soon as possible. Anything that will help in however small a way is a step towards normality
