I used a good quality Harris high volume foam roller, I buy loads and I never clean them after I've finished I bin them and use a fresh one when I start working again

I think you've inspired me to paint Mary J Blige with rustoleum. Where did you buy the paint, ebay, how much did you use?

I've replaced all the bad bits now. The rustoleum would just tidy her up a bit.

Avenue coatings for the pastel white but they are expensive, eBay for any other colour, I used 2.5 ltres of both , mix about 10% white spirit, sand with 600 grit then 800 then 1000 between coats take your time roll slowly and you won't get any air bubbles if you do roll very lightly untill they disappear, you will get a lovely shiny finish good luck

Hopefully my years working with my dad in the decorating as a kid will help. Did you do the door shuts with a brush or did you not do them?

  13. I found that if you thin Rusto down and use a good quality brush, you get barely any brush marks.

With a brush I actually took the doors off but you can do it with them on , buy a really good quality brush for a lovely finish

@Poptop2 it cost me just over £100 as I said it's not perfect but then again it didn't cost me 4k

I'm fine with a less than perfect finish, this is just stage one of getting her back to something resembling a bay.

When Becky painted the van first time I don't think we used enough, 10% is fine Avenue coatings recommended 20% but I found it too thin and was getting too many air bubbles
