So I had all the welding that needed doing on the carp bus done, it's been over 4 years since my good lady painted the bus and I was never really happy with the polar white so I gave the bus a repaint with rustoleum combi colour in light blue and pastel white L90D mixed with 10% white spirit and rollered with a sponge roller, I'm going to leave it to harden for a couple of months before I give it a wet sand and polish I've also put the original seats back in fitted a new radio, and tidied up the interior It's not perfect and will never be a show winner but it's my fishing buddy Next job on the list is to fit new Monroe air lift shocks on the rear
Nice one Bazza, look great. Get those carp rods in there and reward yourself with a night by a lake and some London Pride
Looking good. You must be pleased with that. When are you going to tackle the job of moving the indicators to their proper position?
Baz, next time you pop the seats out, try increasing the amount of hog rings in the underseat suspension. Just use cable ties and wrap the tie around twice but don’t pull it very tight. This makes more of the springs work in unison and makes for a lovely comfy ride. Get as many as you can in there. The other thing I did was tweek a piece of roofers sarking / membrane between the coir and the springs which also helped a fair bit, easy enough to find off cuts of this modern marvel which is breathable too P.S. looks mucho bettererer Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,remind you of any one ???y
I think I'll do this tip to my seats, so basically I put cable ties between each spring making a sort of solid base which supports the whole seat
Yes, but instead of making just one hog ring per wiggly bit in each of the springs, wrap the cable tie around twice before you do the rachety bit, in essence making two hog rings and put in as many as you can but don’t pull them at all tight so that they only become tight when a bum impresses them , at a guess I think I had a few more than a dozen in each seats down or really improves the seats. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,great mod for little dinero
