Im not that old but when i went from a brick to a galaxy i struggled with it a fair bit When i went from a glaxy to an i phone it sort of explained itself as i went along I only use it for checking things on the net quickly for anything that needs a decent sized screen i use the laptop
Hang on until Sept 9 when the iPhone 6S is launched, then get one and blow us all out of the water. I've got an old iphone and an iPad mini and they do me fine. Best feature of the phone is that you can talk to it and it types - in a text or email - what you say. Magic. And v fun working out what rude words are in its vocab. (F-word, no. Supercalifragelisticexpealidocious, yes!) It's a function called Siri.
That really doesn't sound like me at all. I don't even have a TV. I do need to play catch up though, then I can stick with whatever I get for another decade or two...
When I came back from Spain and got a new phone the lady in the shop said I will transfer your data. I said I don't have Internet or blue tooth (or a camera for that matter) She scoffed slightly and said it could be done, I then showed her my old phone , oh! Was the response . I then did it old school and wrote out my address book and then typed it into my new phone
Ps out of contract for past 6 months and asked for iPhone 4S , one up from current, and shop said not possible . The new iPhones are bigger and IMHO more fragile, which is no good for work phone as it goes in my pocket and gets dropped frequently
New 'uns are just to big, mate, whatever species I've dropped my 4S (with bumper case) off the top of my van twice. Still working...
mockery aside Steve, you cold do worse than the Nokia Lumia windows phone. It got the sort of functionality youre after but its very intuitive to use.....get one on O2 pay as you go and whack a giff gaff sim in it......cheap as chips internet and email etc
