Instrument panel, whats the third dial space for???

That's rather super. Like the oil temp gauge.

Would be interesting to know what temps the various zones are.

Also pushed out the little green globe inside the rev counter so I could install a blue background light (as I have already done in
the speedo and fuel gauge housing).

Steering wheel is a standard black steering wheel that I repainted to match the roof and bumpers.

Wolfsburg Edition is a sticker off of eBay - cost £3.99.

 

there has been a few threads on various forums over the last 10 years about these rev /temp clock and general theme is no one has ever seen one even the samba draws a blank

Put a full size(do they come as 80cm?) red flashing warning light connected to oil temp, oil pressure, cylinder head temp senders. Might need some circuitry but I'm sure somebody on here will sort that out.

 

Or you could just jump in and drive it, as VW intended ...

No no no. Spend more time in the garage putting in more worry gauges so you can postpone having to drive it!!
