the beer tastes the same in a caravan/t5/bay - i've had all 3 and can confirm the only difference is people wave at you in the bay, that's it.
When I bought the T4 the fellas in the local plumbers merchant calculated that I could have 224 nights in a B and B instead! If I had 40K I'd buy a barge
I once worked out that if it was more than 100 miles each way I could go in the Golf and B&B for less than driving the bus and camping. Not the point fortunately. I could have several luxury holidays a year if I didn't have a camper.
It's been calculated that for the average number of nights spent camping in a rusting Bay, taking the cost of the thing into account, it would actually be cheaper to book a suite at the Savoy...
i think it is all about the people you want to mix with ,say for instance going on a cruise and all the old crinkles same with the white motorhome briggade ,caravanners ,18-30 etc and the feeling you get driving a classic.... I am happy with my lot and the 40k would go under the pillow...
I'd get a hymer. if i had to spend 40k it would be something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hymer-B67...597817?hash=item41a49c8eb9:g:5ZEAAOSwbdpWbrxW but in reality i would probably just buy this at 10k and have all the cushions re-upholstered. the rest of the decor is on point http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-HYME...221684?hash=item2a5a83ecb4:g:N1cAAOSwT5tWJLOD i think if i had 10k and i was looking at a bay or this i would probably end up buying that . more camping ready and spacious. Just being real with you.
We nearly bought a motor home but bought a narrowboat instead. I think we have used the boat every weekend this year be it a day, 1 or 3 nights. I would not have used a motor home as much, getting it out driving somewhere, I know we got to drive to the boat but I can take my small car and don't have to find a campsite.
