I went to NEC caravan & motorhome show this week. If you had £40K to spend on a campervan/motor home what would you get. Motor home http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181959507170&globalID=EBAY-GB Or T5 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=231451735003&globalID=EBAY-GB Both have benefits/advantages over the other but I must admit I'd be very tempted by the motor home.
If I had to spend it on a camper I'd have the coachbuilt one, I'll probably get one when I'm a bit older, the plan is the T5 I have should last me until I'm 60 (12 years) then probably I'll go back to a caravan or motorhome
A couple have said t5 but all that space in the motor home. Why wouldn't you. You've got no street cred in a t5 anyway. No one waves so why not at least get something with a bit of room?
Because you can't take the motorhome to the shops etc when you are out in it.... T5 will fit in car parks etc
All these monster motorhomes - they must all be itinerent liveaboards, avoiding council tax, not on the electoral register, ducking and diving pensioers etc scrounging off society. They don't fit on your drive do they so i must be right.
T5 is a better daily option to maximise its use. It's what works for now. Maybe in 20 years when I'm retired and even grumpier I'd choose the motor home.
I'd get something old , but the nagging wife would force me to buy a big white boring motorhome thing ...
Unfortunately, women who like the more rustic motorhome tend to be even wierder than women who like the big white boring version.
We were there today. Don't think, unlike last year when we went, we looked at any T5s at all. Saw a pretty nice Renault Trafic camper, but I really liked the WildAx Solaris. Big n comfy but not too big. A bit smaller, with a useful pop top was this one...... http://www.wildaxmotorhomes.com/#!pulsar/c13zm Boring? Sensible? Comfortable? Probably all the above and more besides, where do I sign?
