Ideas on how to be compact on long camping trips

Take and carry the bare minimum - you`re not going to outer Mongolia , whatever you need / forget you can buy .
You will be very surprised how little clutter you actually need .
Keep a small stash of `essentials` for cooking but try to buy food (to cook) on a daily basis , don`t fill the cupboards with a 2 week supply of pot noodles ...
Try to think about everything you take having at least two uses , don`t take a kettle - boil water in a pan . I used to look forwards to doing the laundry every few days - in the washing up bowl

What in the name of sanity do you need all those towels for?

To take along with boiling water, in case the woman in the next tent gives birth?

 

Have you considered going to a nudist camp. Only need one set of clothes to get there. You can wear the same ones to get home.

 

... or more concentrated like whisky, gin, vodka.

Its no wonder you need to cart the trailer round to carry all that
Crud , beer , pot noodle and a spare pair of shredies , sorted.

 

I Leave Mrs Bugcatcher at home , that saves tons of packing .
