Mazda 2 is the equivillent size of a Polo / Corsa / Fiesta type thing. The car changed radically last March, so anything on a 64 plate or before is the previous model. Both are robust cars, good on fuel (the new one especially) and come with loads of toys as standard. dont bother with a diesel even if you are doing higher mileage. Let me know your budget and I'll try and point you in the right direction.

My missus Mazda 2 is for sale (just replacing it with a Mazda 3) - its got about 35000 miles on it, its a 13 plate Venture edition so comes with Nav, bluetooth, rear park sensors etc. It is a Cat D as it was a stolen recovered when it was only 6 months old, but its in great condition and I'll probably be looking for about £4,500 for it.

 

you could buy a Fiesta if you want to pay more for the car. Ford and Mazda are completely seperate, they have been for the last 4 or 5 years, the old Mazda 2 was based on a fiesta platform but different engines. The new (post 15) car is entirely different.

 

thanks for that , im not sure what her budget is lol but .......................................................................when if she decides she can look into perhaps newer version or maybe a 3 if i want to use it . No worries - if you see anything you fancy drop me a message and I can check history etc (or sell you one if you want!!!) The 3 is also a good car - from '14' onwards it changed over to the new Skyactiv version which is amaze-balls. All 2's and 3's are chain driven too so no cam-belts either....
